Walk Start

We’ll meet in the San Telmo Square at 7am – Map link
The main bus station is there and there is plenty of parking below the square
We will direct you to the support vehicle, parked outside the Hotel Parque 
Before we take a starting photo at sunrise overlooking the sea from here
Ready to walk by 8am towards the Cabildo Building and Castillo Mata

Lunch stop

We’ll meet our support vehicle for a hearty packed lunch at around 1pm near Santa Brigida

Arrive at San Mateo

By about 5pm most will have arrived at our first day finish point, the old market town of San Mateo

The One Day Walkers will meet the transport here to head back to Las Palmas.

The rest of The Long Walkers will walk one last hour to their accommodation.

Day 2 Walk Start – Weekend walkers join

At 0900 The Weekend Walkers will join us in front of La Casita before heading out on the trial

Lunch at the Summit

At about 12:30 the faster walkers will reach the summit, where they will wait for the rest to catch up so we can have a celebratory toast from the highest point on Gran Canaria.  We’ve officially reached the top! We leave the summit no later than 14:00

Arrive at Cruz Grande

At about 1600 we’ll arrive at our second night’s accommodation, the fabulous Glamping site in the hills above San Bartolome

The Long Walkers and Weekenders will a little rest before an evening meal cooked by one of our volunteer chefs:

Day 3 Start

The Long Walkers and Weekenders begin the start of the final stretch to Puerto Rico de Gran Canaria, headed for the Chira Soria Hydro-electric project.

The Long Walkers, The Weekenders, The Last Leggers take one last image of solidarity as the sun sets in the west, before heading home and collapsing into bed for a very well earned rest.
